Part of an ongoing series of travel seminars, the purpose of the journey was to explore the roots of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and its impact in the broader region of the Middle East. We met with a wide range of Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian politicians and political activists.



Dr. Hanan Ashrawi is well known as a spokesperson for the Palestinian National Authority and as an advocate for the development of democratic institutions in Palestine.
Dr. Mustafa Barghouti is a medical doctor, a political activist and a frequent critic of Palestinian politics. He ran for President of the Palestinian National Authority in 2005, representing an alternative to the mainstream candidate, Mahmoud Abbas, and continues to work for non-violent political reform.
Hagi Ben-Artzi, is an Israeli settler living in the West Bank settlemtn of Beit El. He appeals to the Bible to illustrate his claim to all of Palestine.

Dr. Gershon Baskin is the Israeli Director of the Israel-Palestine Center for Research and Information, a think tank that identifies solutions to problems such as sharing water resources and sharing sovereignty over Jerusalem. He is often called upon to consult with both Israelis and Palestinians.
Visiting an "unrecognized" village, the delegation learns that there are 100,000 Bedouin living inside Israel whose villages do not receive water or electricity.
